My Story

About me...My goal in life...most teens wanted to be this or that...my goal was to just someday be the best Mom. I babysat as a young teen and couldn't wait to turn 15 to get to start waitressing with my big sister. Wow, to always have money in your pocket. The money in the pocket didn't come with insurance and benefits though so I worked a second job in a care homes dietary department for a steady paycheck, cause waitressing is unpredictable but still hard to quit. So the two jobs worked for me for years until I got pregnant for Faith and the little black apron hardly fit around me, yet I still worked at the care home up until a few days before I had Faith. My full intentions were to go back to work but there were complications with Faiths delivery and she almost died. They should have taken her C-section but didn't. The U of M helicopter came to get her but she needed too many machines to keep her alive to get there and the helicopter couldn't do it, so ambulance it was. I remember feeling as if I had adopted her out and they just took her from me. A feeling you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy...the emptiness. I cried and prayed and cried and prayed that I didn't care just please don't let her die. What happened next they couldn't explain, her little body totally did a 180. The doctors were literally dumbfounded. Threw the years doctors have said don't expect her to live to be 12, then 17, then 20. She is now 23 and always smiley. Yes, she has cerebral palsy and multiple seizures a day and may never walk or talk but I can see in her eyes she dreams. I believe she just happens to be trapped in a body that just doesn't understand how to work. I had my Billy a year after having Faith and he was such a blessing in helping me keep my sanity and focus. He was like an old soul in a babies body. people all his life actually would even say that to him. God truly blessed me. I went to Baker college and almost had the credit hours for a degree in massage therapy in hopes of helping Faiths little body to keep from wading up on her as much as possible but with a handicap child comes the adult ending up with back issues. but its ok. college is just put on hold for the moment. Faith and Billy come first. Its been the three of us all these years, Billy got his Diesel mechanics degree at Baker college and is happily engaged out on his own with an amazing job and is going to be marrying his high school sweetheart. Which threw her, is actually how I found Scentsy. Summers cousin Ashlee Storey started sending Summers Scentsy stuff to my house. I fell in love with everything Scentsy had to offer. Probably mainly because it evolves around Faith...she loves lights, smells, aroma therapy(diffuser), stuffed animals that I always use to help with pressure points and positioning. The cleaning supplies are an added bonus helping to protect Faith from germs and bacteria. I'm soo in awe when a new item or product comes out because its obvious the thought and time Scentsy puts into creating these items. I can't get enough of Scentsy and I'm excited to get to be a part of people getting to experience it for the first time and feel like I do. Between diaper changes and a dog, the scents you can put in your warmers or diffusers are endless
